How to be evil.
- Find an #MIT licensed software.
- Distribute via Software as a Service #SAAS , Charge money for it.
- Proxy all bug reports to the original developers. (you can make fixes, just do not upstream them)
- Create new features, never upstream them. (you can deal with the bug reports for these)
- Use revenue from step 2 to out advertise the original software, and fund step 2 & 4.
- Repeat Step 2-5 until original project is dead.
- Shutter business as profit margins decrease.
