According to a report by BloombergNEF, it is estimated that by 2030, there will be around 1.2 million tons of retired EV batteries worldwide.

Researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory have developed a new technology enabling EV battery reuse: a type of power electronics equipment that can manage a variety of EV batteries as an energy storage system for an electric utility.
