Apple notes, reminders and mail come free with your laptop and have 90% of the features you need. Don’t let anyone convince you that you have to be blowing money on fancy SaaS software to be a real writer.

@Daojoan the defaults are good enough for almost everyone. It’s just that those fancy SaaS companies have really good marketing.

@Daojoan do they ship with Writers Block and despair as well? I’m hoping for a single package with ALL the essentials.

ronnieverse,

@Daojoan I've never felt the need to shell out for pricey software when I've got everything I need right there on my laptop. Besides, writing is about the words, not the tool you use.

So why overcomplicate things? Keep it simple, keep it productive, that's my motto

@Daojoan reminders is brilliant. I also use Notes every day. And the new Journal app. With a few tweaks I’d use the Freeform app all the time. It needs a bit more polish, tho.

@ukuku problem with the journal app is I don’t like journaling on my phone and I cant use it on my Air. Sticking with DayOne for now

@Daojoan Did I see this post and respond on Threads? I probably did. But I’ve had a martini. Yes! Bigly user of all three.
