It seems like some peoples' conception of the world is one where billionaires are these bad actors nefariously pulling the levers of capitalism, an otherwise reasonable and workable system, to funnel wealth into their pockets.
But capitalism is the system that multiplies and concentrates capital. That is its fundamental function, of which billionaires are an inevitable side effect.
