@chirpbirb@levi in fairness the assumption is that nix is installed near or at the point of the OS being installed, or at least prior to switching to a shell other than bash/dash :3
you could also save the file and run it manually rather than straight redirecting in to bash, or do a pipe to shell.
@chirpbirb@levi (but I generally get annoyed when bash is assumed to be the shell in use, and even more annoyed when scripts assume it's installed in a particular place for the shebang)
