Had my first photodynamic therapy treatment today and my arm is sore. Like a bad sunburn concentrated in one spot. I'm back again next week for the same. Hopefully the doctor will be happy with the initial two (and thank you again to everyone who gave the $600 I needed for these two sessions). He was asking more questions today and I have a bad feeling from his tone that he has concerns that the length of time I have had the actinic keratosis on my arm and the possibility it has been cancerous for some time might have given it the opportunity spread. I really hope that I haven't fucked this up, that next week is my last treatment, and my 3-month follow up shows no signs of cancer emerging anywhere else. The not knowing is messing with my anxiety.
