@StatisticsGlobe it's definitely a bug-magnet, but how often do you select a single column of values and want a 1-column data.frame?

In case the confusion is genuine - the drop = FALSE argument prevents this behaviour.

@jonocarroll @StatisticsGlobe fwiw, pandas does the same sort of thing and it drives folks bonkers there too. It’s surprising.
