Ausser den Medien hat niemand gesagt dass das eventuell oder vermutlich ein Elektroauto als Ursache war.
Das wäre auch sehr unwahrscheinlich, etwa 1:6900.

In fact, the liveblog has now been updated to say, “The cause of the fire is still unknown.” And it makes sense that the Coast Guard would not know yet what the source of the fire is, and it would be unprofessional of them to say so, given that the fire isn’t even contained yet."
@tagesschau möglicherweise könnte es auch ein Verbrenner gewesen sein. Wenn keine gesicherten Informationen vorliegen sollte geschrieben werden "Ursache für den Brand ist aktuell noch unbekannt" UND das Taggen mit #EAuto ist auch unzulässig ... klickt halt einfach besser #machtsowasnicht
@tagesschau Sagt mal, was soll der Satz „Möglicherweise entstand der Brand bei einem der 25 elektrischen Autos“? Elektrische brennen statistisch 10x seltener als Verbrenner.
@tagesschau Mal abgesehen davon, daß einige an Bord dabei waren und die Brandursache schon kennen, weiß man auch ob es Neu- oder Gebrauchtwagen waren. Das ändert nichts am Unglück, wohl aber vielleicht daran, daß bei Gebrauchten „Karren“ alles mögliche die Ursache sein könnte.
