i use spotify, on my browser while i’m in the office and using spicetify while i’m home. on my phone i’ll use xmanager. i’ll use headphones if i’m in the office but my monitor’s or phone’s speakers at home. i listen to podcasts all the time, either that or video essays. my favourites are stuff on true crime and video games.
I work remotely, so listening mainly from my monitor’s speakers during work. After work, I recently bought a really small DAP made by shanling, and as an output I use a JBL small bluetooth speaker or oneplus buds Z2 (I bought them on sale and it was a great purchase). My music collection is a bit large (~2TB) so on my DAP I have ~100gb and it is more than enough. If I need something from my collection, I just transfer it from my pc.
I don’t really like podcasts, but I use the same DAP for audiobooks sometimes.
I hear Podcast mainly at work. I have a no brain, just work job, so i can hear about 3 Podcast on one Shift. I loved Antennapod, but 2 of my favorite Podcasts are Spotify Exclusives, so i switched to Spotify, wich i only use for Podcast. My Music Streaming App is YouTube Music, because i am YouTube Premium User. I simply hate Adds!
I sometimes get to listen at work. I use AntennaPod but it’s queue system is garbage. I only use it for it’s RSS and local folder options (music folder in my podcast player).
I listen to podcasts when I go to work or walk my dog. I use Overcast as an app, and I think it’s great.
I work with music for a living, and I have to say that I do not listen to a lot of music, especially because I need an optimal listening setup to fully appreciate it. Currently, I use Spotify, but I think I will cancel my annual subscription when it expires.
I no longer like that kind of music consumption model. I’ve noticed that I prefer to listen to the same album multiple times, and I think the “all-you-can-eat” model is detrimental to the artists. I prefer to support the artists directly, if possible, through services like Bandcamp. If I urgently need to listen to a specific song, I can use YouTube or tolerate the advertisements.
I use Spotify and my Navidrome/Substreamer setup for music. Apple Podcasts for podcasts. I tried Spotify for simplicity but the amount of ads offended me, especially given I have Premium.
Mainly work and driving for music, work for podcasts. Sometimes music at home but rarely for any extended period and if I do, it’s usually a record.
Music: I have a few CDs that are in need of a CD player and also have Jellyfin (no server, only local) to listen to my downloaded music on my TV (which mostly comes from Bandcamp). For my phone, I have the Bandcamp app, it’s basic but it does what I need from it.
Podcasts: via Podcast Addict on my phone (unfortunately no browser version, but that’s gotten less important with the years as I spend less time on my computer and the time I do spend requires enough focus that I don’t listen to podcasts), during sports sessions (podcast for warmup & cooldown, audiobook for the session itself), commutes, walking, cleaning & cooking.
Podcasts in the car to and from work, and while at work (WordPress Developer) with wireless earbuds. I listen to music when I’ve gotten through my feed of podcasts or when reading a book. Lofi and classical are both great for listening while reading, but while coding I prefer high energy music like math rock or metalcore/mathcore.

Treat the first line of the post as the heading (as that’s what lemmy does).
So keep it clean and avoid putting ats or hashtags in the first line as they’ll create links that make it look messy
Otherwise, make sure to keep the lemmy community as the first at-tag in the post (eg @ asklemmy @ lemmy.ml). Lemmy will only use the first one.
Besides that, you can at-tag anyone else you like and use hashtags, just as you have here, as much as you like.

For podcasts I use AntennaPod and quite like it. There are some issues with the auto fetching of new episodes though and I need to refresh it manually.
AntennaPod is amazing and open source. While I have no problem with manual refreshing it bothers me that the only way to add podcasts is to switch to the dedicated panel via menu otherwise great app
While working, eating and, running. I’m using Musicolet to listen to music because it allows to swith between song queues without losing the position of the last tracks
