I love trees but this is some serious BS & I think I would sue the city. The article makes false equivalence between 1 large tree on private property while the "tree spokesperson" claims that trees save lives. Well sure some do but only in the public sphere & this one almost TOOK lives. A ridiculous policy.

@greendesignek "the city is requiring them to ask for a retroactive removal permit for the tree that fell. Plus, the Bonds will have to plant a new tree in its place.

That is just insane. They should be suing for the damages cause by the tree they wouldn't allow removed.
