@Lizette603_23 Yes...they are building a mega resort in middle of bay. I never thought that project should have been approved within UNESCO biosphere area but it seems those offer titles more than genuine protection.
There's mining happening in mountains in Pacific Rim UNESCO Biosphere in Tofino area, on Vancouver Island here too. Most folks aren't aware of that either.
@msquebanh I have not been, but have been reading some journalism on the area from my NYT (if you hate it please pass on by) online subscription. I have the option to choose parts of the world I know almost nothing about. This is one that I chose. Slow learning, but using my old age to move further toward educated thinking. xo
