Repainted sign on a wall that once advertised the Lidstone Ltd butchers. Below the name it lists numerous former branches of the business across London. The paint is very fresh and is a less-than-precise replica of the original.
Portion of a building's wall and roof, with some barely legible letters in faded paint visible on the wall. Looking carefully it is possible to see that it was once a painted sign advertising Germolene.
Large industrial building with a wide painted sign across the very top. The sign reads "Vaneers, Stamford Trading Co. Ltd., Importers, SHO. 5537" where the last bit is the old-format phone number for the business. Photo copyright StockCarPete on Flickr.
Close-up of a lettered portion of wall flanked by blacked out windows. The glass on the pane to the left is broken, with only fragments of words and numbers remaining from a sign that was painted on it.
