It is interesting to see in #HomeAssistant that the switch from 12V to 24V for my fans is actually increasing the power cost of a print noticeably by more than 10% (Top is the power cost at 24V, bottom at 12V)
But all in all I am still amazed at how little power actually plays into the total cost of a print. #3DJGummikuh

On a more serious note: Did you measure the airflow? The consumed energy flows into work at least somewhere, so it might be possible that more air is moved when the fans are of similar quality, or the bearings suck... 😉
@byteborg no no no wait you misunderstand. I didn't switch the fans. I had 24V Fans all along but accidentially drove them with 12V only. That caused them to only deliver 25% of Airflow. now that I fixed that, the fans blow around 4 times the volume, that's the whole point of that :D
