Don't ever come to my issue tracker complaining that 30+ of your employees are facing some issue and demand an immediate fix! Cough up some money and put it as a bounty on the issues you want to be fixed. Don't ever confuse my hobby and passion as my duty towards your business!! Grow up!
@Mehrad I would squeeze a point 1.5 in there, if you allow me: consider donating to support the contributors even if the software, at its current state, perfectly covers your use cases.

Of course, good point. This is valid when the developer is one person or they have have a way to handle budgets. In @flameshot we all agreed not to accept donations since we are all living in different countries and so far all the costs are either covered by sponsors or off our own pockets. The decision was to instead encourage people to put their money on bounties. This way every cent directly and transparently translates to code/documentation/graphic design/... and everyone benefits
