$16 flashlights make flat runtime graphs now. I am impressed.

This is a Convoy S21E with Nichia 719A in 3000K. It's not setting any brightness records at ~850lm, but that's top-tier regulation. It's CRI is in the 90s, and it's kind of throwy too.

@flashlight

kanakana2,

That’s fantastic. How’s the heat at this level? Bare-handholdable?

@kanakana2 It will throttle without fan cooling at this level.

solrize,

Fenix E01 from 10+ years ago?

I suppose it does. It even runs longer than this graph… at 13 lumens.

kozy138,

What’s the lowest it goes? When I first got into this hobby, I thought I wanted brightness. Now I want the lowest moonlight mode out there lol

Donjuanme,

That’s what getting old will do to you. Next you’ll want adjustable to “just a bit brighter” because you can’t quite see the lowest setting any more.

Here’s hoping the descent is slow and gentle.

jerv,

I guess I’m still young then despite being born while Watergate was still going on.

Personally, I find the moonlight on my B35AM S21E excessively bright. Pretty close to my M44.

@kozy138 About 3 lumens. The budget light that's really impressive on that front is the Sofirn SP10 Pro, which gets significantly dimmer than my Zebralight.
