I was very vocal about my attempted, and failed migration from #Chrome to #Firefox as a browser. I've given #Vivaldi a chance and have been very pleasantly surprised. The performance matches my expectations and a lot of it's unique features are time savers, especially workspaces which is a better alternative to tab groups in Chrome.
So no tracking, as good or better performance, and great feature alternatives. So far it's checking all the boxes.

EclecticLexicon,

@mike Just curious what OS? I moved to Librewolf and it's a bit too constrained.

@mike Just curious, what were your issues with #Firefox? I tried looking through your history, but didn't manage to find anything.

@viq It was mostly performance related. Using it on the same workstation as my chrome install, the browser felt sluggish to the point where it affected productivity (I'm a bit of a power user). Also I used tab groups in chrome extensively and there was no good equivalent in Firefox. I gave it a good chance as I wanted to move off of Chrome but in the end I was making to many compromises and moved back to Chrome. I'm pretty happy with the Vivaldi experiment so far though.

@mike
Thank you.
FWIW (which isn't much), the way I've been doing things with FF is "topic per window", and I have a hard time living without https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/
Also I have some extension to snooze/unload inactive tabs, which helps when there's a lot of them, I can look it up later if you're interested.

@viq Thank you for the offer, but I've found an alternative that doesn't require any work to get to where I want it to be performance wise. I tried topic per window along with some plugins and they weren't really for me. Besides I'm finding some really novel features in Vivaldi that are proving to be very useful.
There's a screen shot feature where you can grab just a portion of the web page and copy it to clipboard or save it as an image. Super useful for me. Also tiling web pages is great.
