@freezenet how about they build in a self update function that forces proxy usage (Tor or similar) and users have to tick "I am not from/in UK" once... Problem solved.

Also never break #encryption and make it impossible to break it even for your self.

@utzer in Russia they actively tried to block Telegram, yet Telegram stubbornly stayed. They added proxy support to their main app as well and while the authorities managed to slow it down quite a bit, they still couldn't block it altogether (not sure if something similar could be happening in this case as well though).
