@anianimalsmoe I'm ok with data scapers and the like, pulling data that has been posted, because every since we starting using the internet, the public sentiment was always "If it's online, it's out there and online forever!"
I don't like the idea of handing over private info to the powers that be and building a huge profile of likes and dislikes that are then tied to my phone, email, etc. and then sold without my consent to third parties.
But I have a good feeling about the positive effects that #threads will have on #mastodon if it's fully inoperable it'll bring more and more eyes to #mastodon
