ROTJ was the first film I recall seeing in theaters. It stuck with me as my favorite, and honestly the tripartite battle in the last act is pretty awesome, and while derivative in many ways it's still got a cast that knows their characters like the back of their hands and is a lot of fun.

TLJ is good, by the way.

young_broccoli,

Rogue one is my fav movie. With all its flaws, its just a different kind of SW movie and I enjoy that. It also has, in my opinion, One of (if not) the best Vader scene and best Vader choking and choking quote scene too.

Fav show its gonna be The Mandalorian (IDK, it just made me feel like a kid again) followed closely by Andor.

young_broccoli,

Didnt realized we were talking games too. Fav game Dark Forces simply because it was Doom in star wars.

Hands down And or is my favorite show. Empire will always have a spot in my heart but honestly Rogue One is my favorite movie. I know it has its flaws and suffers a bit from story editing but it's just beautiful movie.

Right now, Andor is my favorite too. I'm reaching rn and everything I liked about it I now love. The acting is so subtle and the writing is so explosive. Such a beautiful, well tailored story. I'm scared shitless that season two will be ruined by the writers strike.

jennraeross,

The Bad Batch. It's just very heartwarming and easily got me invested in the characters.

Andor. It has been by far the best written, acted, and shot work done in the Star Wars universe in many years. Not that it's the only recent addition I like, but I think it's heads above the rest.

young_broccoli,

Andor is such a good scifi show that it would still be great even if it wasnt part of star wars.

kabin,

That finale episode was so good!

I enjoyed Andor because it focuses on regular people that go through day to day during the empire era. We can relate easily in what if mindset.

Fuck the empire!

dandee,

KOTR was formative for me without a doubt, though I really enjoyed playing Shadows of the Empire on N64. Dash Rendar(r?) was a neat aside and it was fun to see stories about the other bounty hunters as well. Wish I could remember more of the names of the books I read throughout my childhood. It tended to be that I could never find a full series, so I read them out of order more often than not. There was a Scholastic(iirc) series written for younger readers that I enjoyed very much, I read that alongside my father. The stories centered around Qui-gon and Obi-Wan before the events of the movies definitely recommend for younger fans.

I missed KOTR and have been replaying the remake when I get a chance. Looking forward to getting off the first planet haha oof

frogman,

Gotta be clone wars, actually seeing obiwan and anakins relationship is everything. Light saber fights are awesome and lots of cool characters that would never get proper development in the movies. Humanizing the clones. I didn’t like the art style at first but now I love how unique it is. hell it might be time for another watch through lol.

young_broccoli,

I "put off" watching clone wars for a veeery long time because I didnt liked the artstyle. Big mistake.

Knights of the Old Republic holds a very special place in my heart as the first RPG to really enthrall me back in the day.

For TV/Movies I honestly think it is Andor. They did an unbelievable job on the first season and I think it's much better than any of the other Disney Star Wars stuff.

For me that would be Knights of the old Republic 2. The hopeless atmosphere of the galaxy getting closer and closer to a major collapse and things just being off, but not in an in-your-face way is amazing.

For me personally, it's actually the modern Battlefront 2. I play it every Friday night with a couple of friends and a few beers. It's incredibly fun to blast down AI bots with my heavy blaster, then respawn onto the field as Darth Maul and just wreak absolute havoc. We've been playing it for years and haven't put it down. In terms of actual Star Wars story, I think I revert back to Empire Strikes back. I've seen it dozens of times and it just doesn't get old for me.

I got into modern BF2 well after its release, when it was cheap to pick up and some of the kinks had been ironed out. I really like the gameplay but none of my friends are big 3rd person (or otherwise) shooters fans. I love classic bf2, lots of ps2 hours logged with my friends

I personally recommend the Star Wars Droids cartoon, staring R2 and threepio. If you haven't seen it, it's a great 80s cartoon you can find on Disney plus. The idea was, what were R2 and threepio up to before A new hope? Of course, this cartoon was made well before the prequels or any other content that covered their past. It's a really fun cartoon though, great visuals and music, and Anthony Daniels returns for threepio's voice!
