I recall getting mixed reviews on launch. How is it a few months in?

@finestructure None of the patches/updates addressed the biggest issue people have with the game: it's boring in many ways.

It's not engaging, it's riddled with loading screens, it can get very grind with no benefit, it's very repetitive, and its dialogues are bland in terms of writing and poorly executed in terms of interaction (the game tries to introduce multiple participants to the conversation akin to The Outer Worlds, but they all stare at you even if they're talking to a different person).

The visuals and the aesthetics are great still, but they're not enough to make a game as ambitious and budgeted worthwhile on its, especially when it has multiple heavy flaws dragging it down and drawing all the attention to themselves.

@finestructure I enjoyed my first play-through but the game still suffers from an overbearing inventory system and inconsistent quality across missions.

@cthielen I saw that the upcoming (May 15) patch is going to fix some inventory issues. I’m really hoping it does a Cyperpunk and gets great by the time I check it out 😅

@finestructure It is fun for a while, but gets repetitive. Havent tried it after the latest patch.

@LarsFosdal @finestructure There's good story bits embedded, but it's both kind of grindy and oddly awkward. Like it never figured out what it wanted to be, half did a bunch of things, and then backed it out. I haven't come close to finishing it, just wandering around exploring and doing various side quests (I'm on console).

@heckj @finestructure I'm on Xbox. Did almost all the major quest lines, but had most fun with some of the odd side quests. Completed the main quest line, but chose not to "cross over". Didn't do outpost building much. A lot of untapped potential in that game. Feels unfinished.

@LarsFosdal @finestructure yeah, does to me too. Also felt like there were a lot of possible survival-ish systems that got walked back, but not actually removed, which (to me) led to a lot of confusion in what's better for gear choices, etc.

@heckj @LarsFosdal I think I'll give it a spin after the May 15 patch is out. Sounds like at least parts of it might be fun :)

@finestructure @heckj It's not a bad game. Well worth trying out. It just didn't live up to the hype.

@heckj @finestructure It probably would be really hard to manage temperature, radiation,as well as corrosive resistances. It explains why you can store many suits in the spaceship.
