There’s a Revanced patch that will let you continue to use Sync as well as several other 3rd party apps. I’ve still got Sync Pro up and running using said patch. There’s a slight chance that Reddit might catch on and block it, or even ban your account (although it hasn’t happened to anyone yet), but luckily I don’t really give a damn if they do lol.
It looks like Relay for Reddit is going to try to stay online, eventually moving to a subscription plan. Free for now until they figure out the pricing. Nowhere near as nice as Sync, but way ahead of the official offering.
I just did about an hour ago. App updated with the new farewell message and the Sync for Lemmy sign-up, which I filled out, and then uninstalled. And then I uninstalled the official Reddit app, too. And Baconator, which I forgot I still even had.
I can't browse Reddit on my Xbox anymore! What a shame.
