I started #RedDeadRedemption and am playing on my sick day. I turned on headphone sound mode and goddamn for a 13 year old game on #NintendoSwitch it is still incredibly immersive. The lighting and audio landscape are just so well done. I feel like I am running around #WestWorld. #rdr#games
So far my favorite #rdr mechanic is how if you press the action button at the right moment, you politely say howdy to folks and they say it back. It doesn't seem like you can pet the dogs but you can talk to them like they're people.
@kitoconnell yeah I was having a hard time mastering the fine mechanics and went back to my old standbys (No Mans Sky and GTA5). Agree though, the visuals are stunning.
My spouse has been playing The Last of Us and while that also looks incredible, it is frankly too scary for me. My heart rate speeds up too much for me to enjoy it.
@SallyStrange some of the mechanics seem adjustable like you can make shooting easier if you want. I would definitely give it a try sometime. I'm very interested in getting into No Mans Sky someday.
I do like scary #games but I definitely play those with headphones for my spouse's benefit. They cannot handle scary stuff for the most part (we have watched a few carefully curated spooky movies together but in general).
@kitoconnell I think I will try it again! No Man's Sky has a similar issue, though it's more to do with the complexity of items you have to construct than with the operation of items like guns or sensors. I have a few other big gripes, but I still love it.
@SallyStrange I kind of love complex crafting trees! I put a lot of hours on Terraria, Subnautica and My Time at Portia which all have very complex crafting.
