I am watching the #ThreeBody#CDrama version and also saw the #Netflix version's teaser. I compared the same scene with the Cdrama one, and I can tell you - I do not have a good feeling about the Netflix adaptation. The Netflix version of that scene lacks the gravitas, urgency and sophistication of the Cdrama version.
I am also worried they are going to water down or completely erase the Chinese perspectives and cultural context, which is really important.
@liztai I'm curious about this... I was interested in the new show but should I just watch the CDrama instead? I couldn't figure out where to watch it last time I looked.
@stephstephking personally I think you should watch the Cdrama first. It is said to be very faithful to the original novel. You can watch it via the WeTV or Viki apps. Let me know if you have trouble with them.
I plan to watch the Netflix one as well and hopefully it won't be as bad as I think. 🤞
