Hundreds of newspapers and magazines from all over the world for free on your digital device using the #pressreader app and by becoming a member of your local public library (in my case the #Munich library, which gives me the magazines in the picture, the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and many, many more). Oh. And also access to https://statista.de and many more things. https://muenchner-stadtbibliothek.de/digitale-angebote#SupportYourLibrary
@jwildeboer yes I've been accessing them through our #CapeTown library - an amazing benefit and access to quality news. I especially like the commenting and voting on articles.
@jwildeboer Interesting that Pressreader is available on your own device. I just checked our public library and the website say it's available on computers in the library. Maybe that's just old info? 🤔
I'll have to ask them.
@jwildeboer The Brno City Library seems to be on-site only, but I found Moravian Library there. I've been thinking about registering there for some time, it seems like it's time to finally do it. It's 5 tram stops from the Red Hat office. :)
In addition: Children and young people (under 18) get their library card for free in Munich.
