I'm researching open source help desk options this morning and came across this gem. Free Scout (built on 5.5) doesn't believe in updating the framework. But wait, it gets better. They think the proper solution for bugs or upgrading versions is “patching and overriding vendor files”

@thomas I'd be curious to know if you have a front-runner so far for open source helpdesk solutions.

If anyone has any recommendations for open source help desk solutions I'm obviously still searching 😂

@thomas Wow! And they think patching their whole stack will be less error prone?
