kellogh, 17 days ago the full article is decent though. “The long-term popularity of any given tool for software development is proportional to how much labour arbitrage it enables.” i’d say that’s one of the core tenants of software development in general. “keep it simple”, “automate yourself out of a job”, etc., the list goes on all software development practices, including tools, are oriented toward making it cheaper and easier to acquire and use engineering talent
