@notsle if it’s bots that you want, I think the Microsoft solution is Power Automate…
But not too long ago I was looking at n8n.io for some business process automation. It’s an interesting tool and it seems they support teams integrations. https://n8n.io/integrations/microsoft-teams/
I’m not sure if it’d be an option for you or not, but at least it’s independent from Teams so it could survive Teams getting replaced. Also, others wouldn’t have to leave Teams.
@rumo it was really coming down to. Boss likes MS Teams because its cheap and does what he wants (Not a Dev)
I want something i can have bots and webhooks for automation and notifications from our dev tools. Stuff i've done with Slack and Discord. Its almost imposible to do the same level in teams, easily
Slack is expensive and boss doesnt want to pay for it.
Discord lacks business level controls and security
@arturN maybe, I did get a server spun up but was having some difficulty connecting. But i fear that anything that starts requiring backing up security keys and changing settings just to connect is to complex.
If i could give users a link to click to simplify the process it would be great.
I just have a bunch of non-tech co-workers that even find MS teams difficult
