You probably already know this, but, as of a couple years back, SE Hinton was on the evil bird site of evil. She'd gotten a bit irascible, but still chatted with fans, and is a dedicated Supernatural fangirl (she got to go on set and meet the guys, as the feeling was mutual).
Supernatural is a show about two improbably good-looking and ridiculously angsty brothers who hunt monsters. In later seasons they're joined by an improbably good-looking angel, Castiel (ie, my Funko Pop).
Tumblr people used to communicate mainly through Supernatural animated GIFs. 😃 So that's how I got sucked in.
It can be a crazy fandom. Lots of ship wars. Tumblr was famous for PhD dissertation-level essays on Destiel.
