Some migrants flown by DeSantis to Martha’s Vineyard qualify for victim visas, feds say (www.miamiherald.com)

Some of the 49 migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard by the state of Florida are now able to legally work in the United States and have temporary protections from deportation — because they are considered victims of a potential crime, their attorney says....

The migrants are eligible for these protections because they applied for a special kind of visa meant for crime victims who are helping law enforcement, after they said they were tricked into taking charter flights from San Antonio to Massachusetts with false promises of jobs and other aid, said Rachel Self, an attorney for the migrants.

God forbid anything good happen to anyone if it’s not everyone. Just let a good thing happen without screeching that it’s not absolutely, unobtainably perfect. Geez. Some of you all are just absolutely exhausting.

Keep the goalposts in the same spot, please.

No one said they didn’t deserve it. I just highlighted how that specific program works and that they had to apply for it.

With respect to Mr. X, that’s still a six-inch reduction to the amount of “knife in back”. That’s better than you were before. We just need to not let it get pushed back in and allow things to heal.

I’m so sick of people shitting all over incremental progress, constantly demanding perfection, and wondering why nothing ever gets done.

Perfect cannot be the enemy of good.

When I was in elementary school, one of my classmates pronounced it “thermo meter” and I had to watch the science teacher struggle for a good 30 seconds to decide if he was going to correct him or not.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the Batman franchise, but The Animated Series from the 90s was the shining exception.

Just add archive.ph in front of about any link.

Also, it’s not paywalled, at least for me.

The Guardian US: Trump cancels North Carolina rally due to storm in first public address since New York trial (www.theguardian.com)

Trump follows with postings about how the beautiful mother nature whom he’s always respected has joined the witch trial by continuing to keep him from speaking. But at least he could catch up on some rest.

Can’t he just draw a new path on the map with a Sharpie and carry on? /s

Eve 6 's debut album.

Jesus Nightlight is the only speedbump, but that’s mostly due to placement. If it was the closing track, it would have been a totally different experience.

Disregarding that one song being in an inopportune position, it’s the only perfect album I know of.

I’m gonna give Kathy the full soap opera while you try to trick a lady with a head injury. We may not be the best people.

But we’re not the worst!

Yesterday was April 20 (4/20 -> 420) which is typically associated with stoners and marijuana enthusiasts. Blazin’ Bev took her time, but she finally showed up for the party. lol

T-Mobile uses a lot of different bands, depending on the coverage area. Some areas are on 700 Mhz, others on higher PCS bands (former Sprint bands). I used www.cellmapper.net to see what frequencies were used and confirmed with LTE Discovery app on my phone.

In my case, it was band 66 for a fairly large cell. I’ve also got a brick house, so that doesn’t help. AT&T’s 800 Mhz band worked well here but they were jerking around my plan so I switched to Mint.

Nah, lol, going for an honest triple word score. Has to be legit. 😀
